Areas of Emphasis
I am trained in general and multicultural psychology, so I work effectively across a number of clinical concerns with clients of diverse identities and backgrounds. However, I have had specific training in the specialty areas listed below:

- Identity/Cultural Exploration
How I Work
I believe most people are doing the best they can with what they have, and sometimes we need professional support to do even better. I like to think about therapy as a collaborative relationship between experts: my clients are the experts of their own lives, and I am an expert on how we might use mental health skills to help improve their lives. I work with my clients to get to whatever goal they think is best for them. I also believe that our minds and our bodies are connected so taking care of one is mutually beneficial.
As a feminist, I am motivated personally and professionally about identity, diversity, equity, and the effective delivery of culturally sensitive interventions. Through my formal graduate training in diversity and my personal commitment to promoting multiculturalism through education and outreach, diversity, equity, and inclusion is a way of being for me. Current and past experiences working with people of color, sexual and gender diverse clients, and other traditionally marginalized and underserved people have provided me the space to work with and learn from individuals who face a unique set of challenges.
I am a telehealth-only provider for Auburn Psychological Wellness Center. This means that I conduct all of my counseling sessions using a secure video platform. Clients attend their video appointments from the convenience of their own home or other private location. Clients must be physically located in Alabama in order to receive services.
I am a licensed psychologist (Al #2060), and I earned my BS in psychology from Southwestern Assemblies of God University, a Psy.M. in clinical psychology, an M.B.A. in interdisciplinary business, and a Psy.D. in clinical psychology from Wright State University. I completed a pre-doctoral internship at The Help Group–a group of non public schools based in the greater Los Angeles area. I also completed a clinical psychology postdoctoral fellowship in Chicago, Illinois at the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center. I am a Texas native, a former college basketball player, and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. I spend my free time creating art and watching sports.
