Associate Therapist Position

Auburn Psychological Wellness Center (APWC) is seeking a full-time Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC) or Marriage and Family Therapy Associate (MFTA) to join our growing private practice in Auburn, Alabama. Our collaborative, multidisciplinary team provides comprehensive mental health services, including outpatient therapy, psychological assessment, and psychiatric care.

About the Role

The ALC/MFTA will provide outpatient therapy services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, groups, and/or families, depending on training and interest. Clinicians may practice from a generalist perspective or begin developing a specialty niche. Supervision is provided on-site by an LPC-S and/or AAMFT-approved supervisor, in accordance with Alabama licensure requirements.

  • Continuous application review until position is filled
  • Flexible start date between August 2026 (preferred) – September 2026

What We’re Looking For

  • Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or Marriage & Family Therapy;
  • Current ALC or MFTA status in the state of Alabama (required by start date);
  • Interest in providing individual therapy, and/or couples, family, or group counseling;
  • Commitment to culturally responsive, ethical, and evidence-based care;
  • Strong professional boundaries, reliability, and openness to feedback;
  • Desire to grow clinically within a team-based practice.
