Auburn Psychological Wellness Center (APWC) has a full-time licensed psychologist job opening in our group mental health practice in Auburn, AL. Our collaborative team of providers offer a range of mental health services, including counseling, psychological assessment, and psychiatric care.
This Psychologist will provide therapy (individual, counseling, family, and/or group) and/or psychological assessment services at APWC.
Applicants must be licensed in Alabama by the start date (start date negotiable). We are looking for psychologists who can practice from a generalist perspective, as well as those with niche specialties. Schedule to include a minimum of 22 hours of direct client contact per week (additional client hours available).

Director of Assessment Services Position Option
If interested and qualified, the Licensed Psychologist will also serve as Director of Assessment Services. As Director, the Psychologist will supervise assessments conducted by our licensed psychological technician, conduct at least one additional assessment per week, and manage other aspects of testing services. APWC currently offers psychodiagnostic, ADHD, ASD, and neuropsychological testing. The Director position is a strong fit for psychologists skilled in psychological assessment and diagnosis and who have management and organizational skills.
Assessment supervision tasks for the Director position option include:
- Assessment report review;
- Finalizing diagnoses and treatment recommendations;
- Additional clinical interview with clients if/as needed;
- Consultation with psychological technician as needed (e.g., assessment battery modification, diagnostic rule-outs, etc).
