Group Counseling

APWC Group Counseling Room
Group Counseling Room at Auburn Psychological Wellness Center

What is Group Therapy?

In group counseling (also called group therapy), you meet with one or two therapists and several other clients. Groups typically include 4-8 clients. Our psychoeducational groups focus on a specific theme about a common concern shared among clients. Other groups, however, are open to clients with a range of mental health concerns and focus more generally on how we relate to other people. Through group counseling, you may improve your communication skills, realize you are not alone in your concerns, learn about how you interact with others, and increase your coping skills.

Group Counseling in Auburn

We do not have any groups that are currently active. However, we may start new groups in 2024. If you are interested in participating in a future group, please contact our main office at 334.219.0425 to express your interest. In the meantime, check out our other counseling options.
