What to Expect if We Work Together

I believe and place great value in forming strong therapeutic relationships to assist and guide individuals through the therapeutic process.  Together, we can create genuine and authentic connections with each other in order to foster a safe and supportive environment.  I firmly believe in individual voice and choice as you are the expert in your journey through this process.  In addition, I believe that therapy is not a step by step process.  We will work together utilizing evidence based interventions that fit your needs to include a basis of cognitive behavioral, compassion focused, family systems and solution focused brief therapy.

About Me

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (5358C) in the state of Alabama. I received my Bachelor’s of Social Work from Kansas State University and my Master’s of Social Work from the University of Kansas. My past employment has provided valuable insight working in community mental health centers (both rural and urban), hospitals, crisis centers, and schools. I have experience training new mental health workers on services and interventions, as well as law enforcement officers on mental health awareness.  In addition, I have also provided training for school district staff on interventions and accommodations for students who receive special education services. I recently relocated to the Auburn area from the Midwest and look forward to learning and exploring the South.
